The Shades of Blue Orchestra performs a variety of musical styles and selections in an effort to promote and recreate the Big Band sound – applying that sound to popular music from the 30’s to the present.  Established in 1976, this 18-piece Big Band consists of a well-balanced complement of brass, woodwind, and rhythm instruments as well as two of the finest Big Band vocalists anywhere. The Orchestra’s repertoire of music includes Swing, Rock, Standard Ballads, Popular Ballads, Latin, Retro, Waltzes, Polkas, and miscellaneous selections. The Orchestra has performed at social, fraternal, civic, and business functions throughout the mid-Atlantic area.  The Shades of Blue Orchestra provides consistently high quality music for your listening and dancing pleasure.

When attired in formal wear, the Orchestra displays elegance and professionalism to complement any event!  Whether it's a large venue and crowd, a small intimate setting, indoors or out, Shades of Blue offers outstanding musical entertainment -- expect **** "four stars out of four" from your guests!
